Before being boxes of chocolates and little surprises, the Advent calendar was very different with a much older history! This one comes to us from Germany and was originally an Advent wreath.. well yes, we too are speechless at this information. We knew that the advent calendar had a story of its own but we had no idea that it was quite close to us!
